Rare Antique 6Th Plate Daguerrotype Chile A Terry
It is known that arturo terry, a north american, came to peru from the usa in 1848. Later he is known to have lived and made daguerrotypes in copiapo, chile (1853 & 1854), bolivia (1854), buenos aires & salta, argentina (1861 to 1871), after which he returned to new york city.
This fine coloured daguerrotype is signed in the case a terry, retratista, santiago & valparaiso. The case, hinges, fasteners, adn photo itself, are all in excellent condition. Shipping by fedex to the us, $45. Lots can be combined. |
