Great Daguerreotype Exquisite Character Portrait1/6 size dag phoot in a black leather case. The spine hsa an old repair. A gorgeous portrait of a handsome yonug man. Engaged in deep thought. Look at hsi sporty jacket emblazoned in wild, psychedelic paisley patterns. How dandy! Perhaps he is a man of science.He looks away from the camera. Way off into outer space. He has dignified and very relaxed demeanor. I guess he has done tihs before. There is a small blemish or discolored area on his cheek. tI is on the darker shaded side of his face and can only be seen when daguerreotype is hand held and turned side to side. Dramtaic lighting with beautiful shades and tones. There is a little tarnish at the bottom by the brass frame. An exceptional, 1840's or 1850's, daguerreotype portrait in very good condition. |
