Full Figure Daguerrotype Stylish Man In Stove Pipe HatA neat antique daguerrotype featuring a full lenght portrait of a well dressed man. The man is obviuosly wealthy and is sporting a stove pipe hat. The portrait is unusual in that it is a full length view, it is also interesting to note that you can see the base of the stand of the head rest behind his feet. A pesron posing had to hold still for several minutes while a portrait was taken hence the need for a head rest/stabilizer. The image is in fair condition as you can see from the photo's. It has a thumbprint and silevring all around the perimeter.
It is in half of a case, i don't have hte other half. Overall dimensions are 3 5/8 x 3 1/4. The image would make a nice addition to an antique photo collection. It is being offered withotu a reserve. Please see my seller's list for more antique photographs this week. In the rare event i use a reserve, please note that i will not reveal my reserve during the course of the auction so please do not ask. Thank you. I rarely relist so if you like it make sure you bid.
