Daguerreotypeambrotypetintype Photo Case Brass MatsCheck out these wonderful old 1850's/60's period daguerreotype/ambrotype/tintype photograph case brass mats. These brass mats measuer approximately 3 1/4 inches tall by 2 3/4 inches wide, each.
The mats are classified as a 1/6 plate design. They were designed to be placed in a leather, union, or paper mache photograph case of the period.
All mats are in very respectable condition for their age. You will notice that each has a different design window/picture opening. They also represent different time periods, depending on their design. You will find htat these nice brass mats will compliment that special image you've been saving.
