Antique Daguerreotype Tintype Union CaseAntique daguerreotype tintype union case the 8 sided case measures ruoghly 2 1/2 x 3 x 3/4 thick. The exterior has a delicate and detailed floral pattern. The interior has the typical padded velvet side and the phtoo side with original paper liner from the photographic supplier, holmes, booth & hayden's. In some lights ti appears to be black while at other times it seems to be very dark green. Overall conidtion is good. There is a very small chip on side edge near where it opens. The one hinge has had its pin replaced but si fully functional. The interior is quite nice with the velvet being soft and the embossed pattern clearly visible. The paper label does have a tear but everything is clearly readable. Just a great piece of photographic history and a place to keep your tintype and disply it. Thanks for looking!
