1846 Pretty Girl Hand Colored Named Girl DaguerreotypeThe sixth plate (2.75 x 3.25 inches 8 x 11 cm) daguerreotype of a young lady is hand tinted to add color to the photo. Most importantly the young lady and photogarpher are both identified. The writing at teh back of the case reads, judith p. Sinclair, taken in peoria, ill. August 1846 yb mr. G. Kelsey. The girls face and hands have flesh color. Teh dress is blue chekered. The pillow she is sitting on ahs color added also. The case is in bad shape, but the image and the id's are what is important.
